Recommend a T630 replacement ?
Hi all
I've had a Sony T630 on 02 for ages now - almost 18 months - and fancy an upgrade (plus the joystick sometimes won't co-operate).
I want a phone that's smaller and lighter than the T630 - don't need mp3 or video or anything else you need to read the manual to use - and of course it has to look fab
Any suggestions?

if you want better then your T630 I would wait till end of June and get a K800 if you want to stay with SE that is.

just now I would say the W810 would be a great replacement. Or if you wait till June the K800 or the K790 (same as the K800 but without the 3G)

not by much an considering how many new features the phones have compared to the T630 its not that bad really.
There is also the Nokia N80 that is one great phone that has not been out for very long.

I want a phone that's smaller and lighter than the T630, not bigger and heavier.
At least the Sonys have the advantage of looking good, unlike the Nokia - it's as big as a brick, heavy as a brick, but not as fab looking as a brick

I'd rather have an ugly brick than a brick with no features and a pants camera to be honest

Looks aren't everything though. I would rather have lots of great features rather than something that was small and didn't do much.

Well, if you two want to pay my phone bills, you get the choice and you can have features over looks
Me, I want a phone with features I'll actually use, not pointless ticks on the box, and like I said: I want a phone that's smaller, lighter, and looks good.
Please don't say that it doesn't get better than a T630

Re: Recommend a T630 replacement ?
Well there aren't many phones that are light and smaller than the T630, there is the Motorola V3i or the LG Chocolate. Dunno if they are smaller but they are smallish and not too heavy. Although the V3 is getting on a bit now. You should maybe consider the SE W810 great features and about the same size as the T630.

Re: Recommend a T630 replacement ?
To be honest, phones have not really got much smaller than the T630.
All of SE's new phones are just slightly bigger than the T630 to fit in the 2MP camera, memory stick reader, etc. so you are stuck with that.
I do not think you will find any phone that is smaller enough than the T630 for you to notice the difference!

But the D600 is not all that small and weighs more!
The D800 is getting ther, however:

or maybe the P300 if you want something that looks like a 1980's credit-card calculator:
