Re: t-mobile 3G?
Wow, their site states
No data download limits*
The small print says.
Quote:
To ensure a high quality of service for all our customers, a fair use policy applies. T-Mobile defines fair use as total UK data use (both sent and received) of up to 2GB per month. T-Mobile may contact customers who exceed this volume of data in two (or more) consecutive months in any six month period to ask them to reduce their usage. If usage is not reduced, notice may be given, after which network protection controls may be applied which will result in a reduced speed of transmission. Use of Voice over Internet Protocol and Messaging over Internet Protocol is prohibited by T-Mobile. If use of either or both of these services is detected T-Mobile may terminate all contracts with the customer and disconnect any SIM cards and/or web ‘n’ walk cards from the T-Mobile network

yeah but if you buy it as a data sim with a data card you aint exactly gonna be making mobile calls on it anyway
i want the others to catch on and decrease their data charges, not gonna pay £20 /mo for a datacard but it would be nice if the data charges on my vodafone 3G phone were low enough to be able to use it as a modem for my lappy when im away from home.

Useful in emergencies I would imagine, might even work out cheaper if you stay within the limit.

id say OPPS lol its £2.35 per MB, did use data with my preivous GPRS phone once to use MSN and used about 1mb once but due to the data charge i dont like to connect my lappy to the phone due to the fact i have a few things that like to jump online as soon as theres a connection (av updates.etc)

Re: t-mobile 3G?
Its handy for some things, I went to a 60 man LAN a while back where there was no net connection and several people didn't have their Steam logged in fully before they left, so I went round and logged the ones in and charged em £2 a pop, didn't come to anywhere near that though, oh well paid for my beer and food for the weekend
