Can I use my Telewest receiver for Internet?

I have a Scientific Atlanta Exporer 4000 DVB box. I noticed that it has an ethernet port and a usb port.

I have blueyonder internet, TV and phone so I tried to connect my network cable to the box. However I can't use it to get on the internet.

Is it possible to use the box as a modem becuase its one of the features listed in the Scientific Atlanta specification.

Do I have to add the MAC address to Blueyonder somehow first? Before there used to be an option in selfcare to add MAC addresses but I can't find it anymore.

Please help. Thanks.

Click on this site for information http://www.support.draytek.co.uk/cable_setup.html

But remember this ....

Terms and Conditions:
Customers who currently have broadband via the television set-top box can still only benefit from a maximum speed of 1Mb.

Those are instructions for a Draytek router. Nothing to do with the Scientific Atlanta box..

shad121, AFAIK, Telewest don't support broadband via any Set Top Box, but if I am wrong, and they do, you will need to phone Customer Services and get them to enable it.

to the forum, BTW.
