Upload Speed...

I've got a 1mg connection currently, and the download speed is perfectly fine. However, uploading is a different story. 10kbs is just not cutting it. Does anyone think NTL will make the speeds between uploading and downloading more even in the future?

I think it's a joke that internet providers cap upload speeds so much, why do they do that?

Combination of technical reasons and not wanting you to host half the internet on their residential services.

Re: Upload Speed...

I upgraded to 2MB the other day, getting upload speeds of around 24KB/s so i'm happier then before, when i was on 1MB i was getting upload speeds of around 9-10KB/s. Phone or email NTL and ask them to give you a speciail offer on 2MB, i got £19.99 for until October

Re: Upload Speed...

Go one step higher and you'll be even more happy, 59kB/s uploads )

I would say thats good, but being able to dl at 1200kB/s just destroys that judgement.
