Can He/She....

Hi All
Wonder if anyone can help me
Next thursday an engineer is coming out to install ntl's tv service
I already have cable modem installed in the room and since the tv service will be installed in the same room ...wayyyyy back from the front of the house where the grey box is outside..i was wondering if its possible if he/she can use the white box they installed for bb for the tv service as well?..if not they could probably do the same as the last lot, and take the wire round the building into the back?.

Thanks

Re: Can He/She....

Shouldnt need to have a seperate cable run into the house AFAIK.

They share the same cable so yes they will almost certainly share the same box with an extra point being added to allow the TV to be connected. Reverse is certainly true if you have TV and later add BB.

EDIT Welcome to NTHW btw

Re: Can He/She....

They can split the output from this white box and send it to the STB and the SACM.

They will then need to ensure that both are getting adequate signal strength as a splitter will cause a 3db signal drop and two terminations will reduce the signal availible to both items.

Should be a quick and easy install for the guy (gal - if there are any female installers)
