All you see on the 5 is a white light in router mode.
You can change the light intensity and read up on the light by logging into the hubs advanced settings.

Re: New Hub 5
Hi SnoopZ, sorry I don't know what "router mode" is but I have tried logging into the hubs advanced settings BUT it will not accept my PW (I know the pw I'm entering is the right one ) I'm also not sure if Router Mode is erm Active ?
ps:Just tried logging into the hubs advanced settings and I have just got "In" but I can't alter anything yet cos my son is using the internet at the mo for his work and can't lose the connection so I'll wait till he's finished then give the settings another go. Thanks for helping me.

Sounds like it's working normally, i'd probably leave well alone.
Router mode is the default setting, it allocates IP addresses to all the connected equipment.
Modem mode allows you to connect your own router to control the traffic and would probably give you a lot more control over the settings (depending on the router you use with it).

Re: New Hub 5
Just been "In" and I see whats connected 4 devises in all. I'm not going to alter anything, I don't have enough knowledge to do that so I'll leave it alone.
Again SnoopZ a big thanks for your help.

That's your local network. Are you saying you open the CCTV app on your phone then have to select or input a specific IP address to view your footage ??

No, on my mob I just open the DMSS app and I see my CCTV camera footage no problem, it's on my pc where I cant see them, The address was http://192.168.*.** but now the ip address is
http://192.168.*.* the last two digits have changed.. I just want the old ip address back, If that's possible.
The old ip address won't even open any more !

Looks like the camera(s) have a new IP. Can you try the new IP on your pc to view the footage?

Thats correct, and working as it should.
If you run in modem mode, it will be green.

Re: New Hub 5
In common with all VM Hubs, apart from the power/status light other lights will only normally show if there is a fault. Once the reboot cycle has finished all other lights extinguish after about a minute.
