Moving Super Hub again daft query

Hi guys, we are thinking of moving our SH5, which was upgraded back in April, to a new location. We want to move the SH to the other side of the house. It is far easier for my to drill a hole in the wall, poke the cable out and attach the it on the outside of the house and then back into the house than moving furniture, lifting carpet/floor boards in 3 rooms. Would my current 15m RG6 be ok outside of the house, or do I need a outdoor rated RG6 cable? Thanks

I would suggest that you don’t attempt this yourself but contract Virgin Media to reposition the co-ax point at the reasonable charge of £25.

If you wait here for a short time, the Virgin Media staff will arrange this for you.

I would strongly advise against moving this yourself also as it can mess up the power levels and possibly even introduce impulse noise into the network outside messing up the connections off your neighbours also. you are better reposting this over on the virgin media community forums as it will be picked up sooner by a member of staff.
