Re: Help setting virgin media mail up please
yeah, it is to do with scipts and stuff running in the background. All thr buttons and things you see are basically non functional graphics. Closing your browser and opening it up again normally fixes the problem.

Re: Help setting virgin media mail up please
Why does anyone use an ISP email service anyway?
Use a portable email service, such as gmail.

I couldn't agree more it's crazy using an ISP email service for main accounts it causes so many issues down the line.
Using Gmail or Outlook is the way to go to keep things simple in my opinion.

Couldn't disagree more for a free provider.

Re: Help setting virgin media mail up please
I remember that I'm sure ebay required an isp email address when setting up an account a loooong time ago it was some sort of proof of identity (or maybe it was due to paypal when they were both linked). I lost that account and created a new one after it changed.
I had a @blueyonder email back then.

Re: Help setting virgin media mail up please
I don't think so, I have always used my hotmail address and never had a problem and I am going back to early 2000s.

Re: Help setting virgin media mail up please
In the old days of the internet it wasn't wise to save your bank details online, you could only use anonymous email like hotmail if you registered your bank card or a credit card, which I wasn't willing to do.

What do you mean by the early days? I've had both ebay and paypal accounts since 2000, used a hotmail address and never needed to register a debit or credit card to create an account.

This getting off topic. I just was disagreeing that there was never a need for an isp email address. I remembered having a problem signing up to get an ebay account pre-2000 without an ISP email address.
Sure enough Ebay still had it in their T&C's in 1999 like i'd said. I didn't say anyone hadn't joined with a gmail/hotmail or whatever webmail account since have they clearly changed their T&C's since then.

Re: Help setting virgin media mail up please
I never had a problem with email addresses. I remember both ebay and paypal wanted bank info so they could verify your delivery address and authenticate you.
