Video playing issue.
AAARRGGHHH HELP GUYS!!!
Ive got a video playback issue i cant solve...
I'm running a dual monitor setup on my main system, i play majority of videos on the second monitor while i work on my main monitor.
For some reason now if i do this the video goes mental, video flickers on both monitors and its the same if i try and play video on my main monitor.
I've updated the drivers and even updated codecs and tried a different video player. At first i thought i thought it was the fact i had a video paused in the background and was playing a second video over the top but this isn't the case.
Ive restarted windows twice and and tried changing the video resolution settings and this didn't solve it either.
Its only started happening over past few hours, there's been no updates or anything i know of in that time that could have affected video playback, anyone have any ideas of what i could try to solve this?
Thanks guys....
P.S... I'm not leaving my son or his interfearing boyfriend near my pc lol.

Re: Video playing issue.
what player do you use? VLC is usually the best as you don't have to worry about downloading the latest codecs etc
https://www.videolan.org/
probably best to remove any codec packs you have installed

Ive been using a player called Pot player for over 2 years without issue and now this... Ive also tried VLC and same issue happens.
Must be some kind of Rendering issue.

Re: Video playing issue.
all videos, or just some? if it's just some use something like media info
https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
to see which format it is and what codec. it's .mkv rather than .avi it can be more troublesome.
have you tried the videos on other machines, or did they used to play on this machine before?

Re: Video playing issue.
Have you tried installing an older graphics card driver in case the updated driver is the issue?

Re: Video playing issue.
I had the issue before the driver was updated, i only updated the driver to try and solve the problem.

Re: Video playing issue.
it's a faff, but you could use winff or super to convert the video to another format and see if that works. There's plenty of tools available, but those 2 I've used as they're nice and easy to use with a GUI

Re: Video playing issue.
As i said it happens with all MP4 video which would mean i would have to convert 100s of files which is a pointless practise.
