Obtaining business broadband when another tenant already seems to have it
Hi
I was under the impression that Virgin Media broadband was not available at my new office location, but I found this today in the basement.
1. Can anyone identify this equipment?
2. Does this mean there is fiber broadband in the building (shared tenancy)?
3. Is this a good sign?
4. Is Virgin likely to be able to hook off the back of this for me, or would I need my own one installing?
5. Any other tips?

VMB offer 2 types of product. There's a basic cable modem, very similar to residential but with a few differences. This is only available in areas that VM cover. They also provide managed internet access (MIA), which is basically a direct fibre link. This can be offered in some areas where there isn't VM network, as all telecoms providors lease fibres from one another. Looking at the sign on that DP I would say it's a fibre tray. MIA's aren't cheap, but if that's a redundant circuit in your building you may be able to save money on the install (not totally sure on that one though).
