The upgrade is not automatic. You have to apply for it.

Re: Vivid upgrade

Why don't you go for the new 150mb, sweet all difference to 200mb, and save yourself some money.

Re: Vivid upgrade

Had the same problem, had to order it on the Virgin Website, I needed a new Superhub which costs £5.99 postage which came within a few days.

To be truthfull it doesn't seem any faster than the 152mbps I was getting before

Speedtest.net shows that I'm getting 205mbps

Re: Vivid upgrade

Indeed, almost no sites will actually supply 150mbit speeds, let alone 200mbit. Most of the delay these days is down to latency, round trip times and even the protocols themselves - nothing a faster connection is going to really help.

150Mbit+ speeds are mainly useful for either heavy downloading or multiple users.

Re: Vivid upgrade

It is not a new contract but you may need to install (and pay delivery charge) for newHub.

The install just means you ring in to activate the new hub.
