Wifi non existent

I have a Superhub 1 which works faultlessly on ethernet but is practically useless on wifi. If i move out of the room where the Superhub is installed the signal drops to a levels that are useless and if I go downstairs it all but disappears altogether. I have tried changing channels, changing the Superhub position within the room numerous times but it changes nothing. I am left unable to use wifi anywhere but next to the Superhub. Am I missing something, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Wifi non existent

It seems to be hit and miss with SH1. Mine worked reasonably well, but not aware that it was with other than standard settings.

Re: Wifi non existent

SH1 has something of a reputation for poor wifi performance. You could try sweet talking VM and get a SH2 or SH2ac or as many here get yourself a decent wifi router and put the SH1 in modem mode at which it does fairly well.

Re: Wifi non existent

ya, shub1 is famous for very poor wifi. You don't see so many complaints now on forums because a lot of people have either moved on to shub2 or their own router and I suggest you do the same.
