Good not a Liverpool fan let's hope it makes room for a channel we all want.

Re: LFCTV discontinued on Virgin

...but it may be coming back. On the V+, the old LFC slot now says "LFC TV is upgrading it's service".

My gut feeling is that this means that this means that the LFC app will be put onto TiVo, but why put this on the V+ and not the TiVo EPG

As pointed out by MediaBoy, there's also an announcement from LFCTV. So, we now have two contradictory announcements both of which are still live on these two organisations' respective websites. It's a fiasco!

LFCTV 28/10/14 1.48pm I am a Virgin Media customer, how can I access LFCTV? LFCTV is currently upgrading its service on Virgin Media. Please check your TV guide for updated programme information. Thank you for your patience.
Then 1.5 hours later came Virgin's update:

Quote:
Virgin Media 28/10/14 3.16pm We have been informed that the sports channel Liverpool FC TV (544) will no longer be a free channel, nor will it be included in our packages. The decision to remove the channel from our free listings today has been made by the channel provider. From Tuesday 4th November, it will become a subscription-based channel, and will not be available on our TV services.

Aye, it is a fiasco! I was told the other week that LFC had approached VM Re: carrying the HD channel. If it isn't a Sky exclusive, I wonder if Sky have moved in with sweeteners to make it so and VM and LFC are trying to figure out a way how to continue it on VM??

This is why I think it could go app based.

There's certainly a keen LFCTV-Sky promotion going on.
The only thing about an app is would it be worthwhile for LFCTV to build it?

Re: LFCTV discontinued on Virgin

I can't see an app being developed. Seems too much effort and expense for Liverpool. Plus it would show common sense. Right now it seems so messy and unplanned common sense is out the window

And on that note happy 1000th post to me..

I had assumed that there was one! VM mentioned "FC TV Go"

Sorry, what I meant was a new app for Tivo as FC TV Go will be an Android and iPhone app.

Ahhh right, I didn't think about that. I think TiVo uses the Linux OS.

Android is Linux.

Heck even my smart TV is running Linux.
