Virgin Media Helping Hands

Found this to be an interesting and insightful Youtube Channel from Virgin Media:

http://www.youtube.com/user/VirginMediaHelp/videos

The interesting thing is Virgin have used their own staff in the videos. The guy in the following video installed TiVo in my house last April!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BnbpH-_SrY

He knew his stuff. I remember him telling me something like he didn't usually do installs however they where so busy with TiVo orders he was out in the field.

We have a celebrity on the forum

Sam was actually in the shop next door to my house last week. We both did a double take as if to say "I know your face from somewhere".

Was the filming done at a Virgin Media premises?

So you work for VM, so this forum is not impartial?

"Cable Forum is an independently owned and operated web site. We are not beholden to Virgin Media or any other organisation. The site and it's members are free to praise or criticise, provided any content is within this site's terms of service. Some employees of Virgin Media may be members of the Cable Forum Team, but their role is independent of and outside of their contract of employment."

In all the time I've been a member of this site, be it as a Virgin customer or SKY customer, I've always found the Cable Forum Team to be fair honest and impartial.

Through the years I've posted plenty of negative stuff about Virgin Media and my experiences with them. No post has ever been deleted or amended. To my mind I've never had a member of the Cable Forum Team try to defend Virgin Media in anyway when I've made a critical post. That's not to say however that other members of the site, who happen to be employed by Virgin Media, haven't put up a good debate if they don't agree with my views.

Do you feel like you've been subjected to treatment here, from Cable Forum Team, that suggests they are not being impartial or are you just playing devils advocate?

I second what Chad said i came here from another forum and i have been made to feel welcome here. I have both run down and complimented VM and right now i'm both a Sky and VM customer and not once have any of my posts been altered or removed. Imho this is probably one of the most impartial forums i have come across.

Re: Virgin Media Helping Hands

It was a fair question. Hopefully Chad, by quoting the forum statement, has answered it.

And backed up by my assurance that any team member's employment status has no effect on the impartiality of Cable Forum - we are not and never have been influenced by Virgin Media.

I no longer work for VM.

My employer had nothing to do with the forum or anything I posted.
