Rascals
My mum has moved house this week, the team came round to install at her new address and have done a runner with her old modem and left her a brand new super hub 1 without asking, why are they doing new installs with dodgy equipment? If I'd have been there they wouldn't have done it ill tell you.

Unless she had an ambit300, the superhub is actually worth having as an upgrade to DOCSIS3.

Re: Rascals
When you move you get moved to 30meg minimum. You have no choice keeping old modems

Another good reason not to move - I can keep my 20Mb BB M with Superhub 2.

you can defo insist dude. It might be best practise for them to try and swap over cpe but the only way your vmng300 won't work is if they give you a new shub and get it registered. As far as the network is concerned your vmng300 will still be registered and authorised and you will be able to hook it up and it will work no probs without any engineer input.

Why would you want to? If you have a SH2, the 20Meg service will be no different than the 30 other than just being slower.

You could try asking nicely, but you can't insist...
It's not your modem - It belongs to VM and they can change it if they wish.
Of course, you could threaten to cancel your service

Re: Rascals
I asked for a Superhub 2 the other day, the chap had a look on my account and said "No problem, you have 60Mb"
So that leads me to believe that maybe you only get a SH2 on 60Mb or above?

Re: Rascals
Correct. Usually new customers only though, but they might be happy to upgrade everyone now. Depends on what agent you get.

I fall into one category with 20Mb and Superhub 2 - trialist.
There is another category - those on 30Mb or below who choose to pay for the privilege of securing a Superhub 2.

As well as slower (but adequate for my needs and those of many more who have higher), it's cheaper.
