TiVo : TIVO Output (picture)

I've Been using TIVO since it came out with VM. I've been looking at the settings today, this may be my imagination, but when I altered the TIVO output from 1080i only, and selected all formats, which according to the Info button, bypasses TIVO scaling the picture and allows your TV to do this it's self, my TIVO seems faster when navigating menus, changing channel, etc.

Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible. If the TiVo is using a lower video and graphics resolution, it requires less processing power, bus and memory bandwidth to maintain the display, so there may be more available to do other things.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to leave the setting as they are, and see how it goes, to be honest I think I'm getting a better picture as well. Thanks.
