I have just set up my surround sound system and I am wondering which channels are in surround sound? I have a Tivo hooked upto the surround sound.
I know that some of the Sky Movies are in surround sound, are there any other channels please ?

Re: Surround sound
Too numerous to list. You will find all the major channels will have a lot of programmes transmitting some form of surround sound. The SD channels will only have an old version e.g Dolby Pro-logic as that is encoded in the stereo sound signal. For "proper" surround sound you need an HD channel.

Re: Surround sound
Most SD channels will feature Dolby pro logic surround or Dolby stereo and nearly all HD channels broadcast with Dolby Digital stereo or digital surround. Your amp may have a display that shows the sound being broadcast.

Re: Surround sound
What I find strange is why the BBC HD channel often broadcasts in stereo (producing Prologic) yet if that same show available from Netflix, it is available in Dolby digital Plus 5.1. An example of this being The Fall.
