TiVO Cost

I'm looking at getting a TiVo 500GB box, saw this on the VM website . . .

Existing customers: Irrespective of the number of TV boxes you already have, for every new sale, if you take a 500GB TiVo box as your first box, the activation fee will be waived; if you take a 1TB TiVo box as your first box, we will reduce the activation fee to £49.95.

I already have a VHD and V+ box. Does this mean I will be able to swap the V+ for a TiVo 500 at no install/activation cost?

Re: TiVO Cost

Here you go - http://my.virginmedia.com/my-offers/index (click on the TiVo tab)

Free 'activation fee' for the 500GB TiVo box but you'll probably have to pay £49.95 for installation although you could always try and barter.

Alternatively, dependant on how much you currently pay for your services, you could be better off switching to the Premiere Collection which includes TiVo (details here - https://my.virginmedia.com/customer-...llections.html) for £62.99 a month.

Whichever way you go, TiVo is definitely a good service so hope you enjoy it if you go for it.

And there's free 500GB TiVo box activation worth £49 (installation costs £49.95)

Re: TiVO Cost

An update on this . . .

I went from having 30MB BB, VHD, V+ and Talk Weekends for £69.00 to . . .
60MB BB, TiVo, VHD and Talk Weekends for £62.99 - which is essentially the Premier Collection.

I didn't get the installation fee waived but got it reduced to £15.00 - overall quite happy.
