Cannot acess SH1
My comptuer is connected to the SH1 via Ethernet.
I want log on to the SH1 to take it out of Modem Mode and put it into Route mode.
I cannot access SH1 to change it.
I have tried switching off the SH1 and pressing the reset button for 10 seconds the powering up the SH1 then powering up my PC.
I can still access the internet but I want to use the SH1 in Router Mode.
Any ideas please?

Re: Cannot acess SH1
Are you trying to access it via http://192.168.0.1? In modem mode, this won't work, you need to access it via http://192.168.100.1, hope this helps

Re: Cannot acess SH1
if you have done a factory reset it will no longer be in modem mode and will have reverted back to router and will only be accessible via 192.168.0.1. If you can access the internet it shows the router is working properly and you get check your default gateway's ip (the router) by going to a commend prompt (start and cmd) and typing "ipconfig"

Re: Cannot acess SH1
Ken
Unless your router is utterly naff or the SH in router mode has something important that your current router doesn't have, then my earnest advice is to stay in modem mode.
Anyway - which reset button did you press? Power or factory? Factory reset takes you back to router mode although then you should be able to use 192.168.0.1.
Have you tried OFF SH1; OFF Router; ON Router; ON SH1 in sequence?
What colour is the big VM light on the side of the modem? If it's purple you are indeed in modem mode and 192.168.100.1 should work.

Re: Cannot acess SH1
If you have a router between you and the Superhub in modem mode - which for most people is the whole point tbh - then accessing the Superhub web interface may not work. Some routers, by design, prevent this from working.
Best bet is to connect your computer directly to the modem while it is in modem mode.

Sorry to be pedantic but you still should be able to access via 192.168.100.1 even in RouterMode as this is the CM interface, unless as Seph says, the UI is seriously shafted! Perhaps the fact it's always worked for me indicates all my Shubs have been broken?
However as the OP has already connected his "end device" directly cabled to SHub (let's hope to cover all possibilities he's ensured that's to SHub primary Lan port 1 - immediately adjacent to WAN port anyway) then one has to consider his stated Factory Reset of 10secs may not have been sufficient to reset the interface? Perhaps he should retry HOLDING the FR pinhole for minimum of 30secs while SH is booting?
Of course he hasn't answered the last part of your post so other than trying with an alternative browser and/or end device in SAFEBOOT + NETWORKING then the indication may well be the SH Web gui is a tad sick perhaps?

The Ethernet cable to is connected to the primary LAN port.
I tried holding the reset for 35 secs and that reset the SH and put it into modem mode which is working ok with my 2 computers connected by Ethernet.

Hold on a second here Ken, if you have two computers connected directly to the Superhub and they both work, then the superhub is in router mode. Modem mode only supports one computer at a time.
Are you using a separate router as well as the hub?

I do not have a separate router.
I have both computers connected to the SU one connected to the first Ethernet port and the second to the next Ethernet port and the SU in Router mode, most of the time I am using the computer connected to the first port but yesterday I used the other computer which is connected to the second port and there was no internet connection as only the first port is operating in Modem mode.
I logged into the SU and it had gone into modem mode, I had not set it to modem mode so maybe the SU has a problem, does that sound possible
Any way as I mentioned I held the reset button for over 35 seconds and the SU changed to router mode, both computers are connected ok.
