What speed should i get?

I'm in area 20 which has had the upgrade.

I'm getting 20mb down and 2mb up. What speed should i get on XL broadband?

Modem model is E08C007, is this capable of getting more than 20mb?

Thanks

Re: What speed should i get?

So you have an Ambit modem, max possible is 20mb download.
If you want anything higher, it's the super hub for you.

Re: What speed should i get?

Isn't there a £20 charge for a superhub? Or is it possible to get a better modem? I suspect it's a SH or nothing though?

Re: What speed should i get?

delivery charge ye. go through retentions and sort all your services out in 1 call. you might end up with a free SH and better deal to tie you down on a new contract

Re: What speed should i get?

atm the shub is the only modem they supply full ftop and it is up to you whether you use it as a modem or as a router as well. Thenry is right though, going forward you are going to need one anyway so you had might as well ring up and ask them what price they are going to do 60mbit for for you or maybe throw in TV or something if you are interested.
