Virgin Catchup Ch4 & Ch5

Virgin Catchup Ch4 & Ch5

I am using a Panasonic DVD/VCR recorder
I can record any programme on catchup with excellent results except Ch4 and Ch5. these recordings have colour faults and the picture fades in and out.
Recordings made while the programmes live on Ch4 and Ch5 are OK. Has anyone got any clues what might be causing this, I would appreciate any suggestions.
Ron.

Thanks for the post essjay.
I had a feeling it might be some sort of DRM and you have confirmed it.
Many thanks for the post.

Get yourself a "Macromaster" scart cable. You should be able to pick one up online for around £14.99 if you shop around. It allows you to record EVERYTHING be it catch up, on demand or PPV services. I'm not saying it's legal, I'm just saying it's an option.
