Apparently their website has been saying similar since 2006.

Re: Showcase TV/Information TV on Virgin media

I E Malied Information Channel a couple of weeks ago(address from their website.) and actually received a reply from them within 48 hours. The writer told me that the Information and Showcase channels are shown on both Sky and Freesat. They would love to be included on Virgin but as he put it quote "They are difficult" and suggested I contacted them saying requesting their channels are included. I did try and contact Virgin Media raising this subject bit surprise surprise I received no response. So it is Virgin who don't want these channels for whatever the reason. surely if they are good enough for both Sky and Freesat they are good enough for Virgin.

Re: Showcase TV/Information TV on Virgin media

Depends what the channels were wanting to charge Virgin for carrying the service, and whether other bundling conditions were attached to the deal.

Is that the one available on TVCatchup?
It's showing a BW Cary Grant movie at the moment.

Info tv has three channels on Sky which allow companies to launch mini niche channels on them rather than launching their own costly full blown tv channels. An example of a mini channel being Landscape Channel which you can find on their three channels. Landscape Channel was one of the original uk cable tv channels but went bust years ago. But now they've relaunched as one of these mini channels. I used to call it the Sunday Ironing Channel.

Re: Showcase TV/Information TV on Virgin media

As a previous contributor requested the web site is just information.tv. (nothing else) It will give you the details of the Information and Showcase channels plus an E mail contact form if you have any questions. They do actually reply.I have received no response from the E Mail I sent to Virgin Media on this isssue.
