Re: Tivo sound effects
Currently on the low volume setting. I can't understand why I don't find them annoying

Re: Tivo sound effects
I leave them on. When paging through menus it reminds me of stomping Koopa Troopers on Super Mario World on the SNES.

Re: Tivo sound effects
Off for me too.
I do tend to turn action sounds off most things though, especially phones. It even does my head in when I'm near someone whos mobile is constantly beeping on every button press!

Re: Tivo sound effects
First thing I did was switch them off. The only sounds I want are the ones I choose from whatever content I'm watching!

Re: Tivo sound effects
I have mine on low. Occasionally the Tivo doesn't bother to action my remote, the remote can't be bothered to send the command, or I'm not pressing hard enough. The bleep is a good inidicator that it has received and understood my command.
(The fact I have a coffee table between me and the Tivo - which means I can't see the green light flash - could be a factor in all this)
Also, the Tivo sometimes chooses to do its own thing. For example sometimes I press down a few times, and randomly it will go up. The sound it plays tells me it is going to go up before it actually does.
