Re: 15.2 update

Could that be due to the fact Glasgow isn't due until the 22nd?

Re: 15.2 update

got my update today when tivo installed. the padding is causing me no end of problems chopping of start of programs. it does not get rid of padding when recording with 3 tuners used to record next programs so 10pm programmes starts at 10.04 not 10.00 because it pads previous 9pm recordings. the youtube app does not work all i get is black screen when accessing videos and cannot login into my youtube account.

Uh-oh, another report of YouTube being broken. This does not bode well. Trust me to be fooled into thinking that VM wouldn't break things while fixing other things in their firmware updates, a fact that never gets picked up because their testing phase is too short and not at all thorough.

Re: 15.2 update

Haven't had my update yet, but for me the padding issue isn't about setting a default padding (which is what they've apparently fixed) but it's about dropping the padding between shows if it would cause a clash. If that's not been fixed, then unfortunately it's not a step in the right direction.

On the plus side, I rarely use padding now (I always did with the V+). Only on a couple of channels that I know are regularly off, and just for the shows it's a problem with. Then I just add a minute to the beginning (it's usually that they start 30sec early).

Does the update set padding in your current links or is it just for new series links you set up from this point forward?

I'll be a very happy camper the day they are able (if they are able) to get it to drop the padding if it causes a clash...

Re: 15.2 update

Network control text entry works really well. But as soon as I went into My Shows it stopped responding. I didn't have time to restart so hopefully it will sort itself out by the time I get home.

How would you know?

I'll tell you why the Youtube app is broken, because is coded from scratch by Google and they seem to not care about the fact that it's rubbish, for now at least.

If you got the update today how do you know your having problems with recordings already? The new padding settings isn't retroactive, only new series links have the new padding.
