Question Call Of Duty MW2/Black Ops/MW3 Lobby question

I have a question regarding the above and any game really, as most if not all use lobbies of some kind to match up players. There is a lot of talk with the xbox 360 versions of the games that talk about people who enter whats called an infected lobby and as a result get their stats reset and themselves banned. my question is, how would someone know if they entered an infected lobby?

Oh , you'll know , been in a few of these on the ps3 , not been banned though , cheating **** flying around the map with unlimited noob tubes , unlimited predator missiles , impossible to kill them , stats a complete mess afterwards , not see it happen in black ops though only in mw2. Until you actually get in game though its no different (lobby is the same) so don't think there is any way to tell before damage is done ....

Re: Call Of Duty MW2/Black Ops/MW3 Lobby question

Infected lobbies are only available in private matches and are currently only possible on Cod 4 and MW2.

MW3 and Blackops security give no possibility of these.

There have been rare occasions of infected lobbies appearing in public.

Infected lobbies usually do not reset stats but instead they boost stats, prestige and other things.

Re: Call Of Duty MW2/Black Ops/MW3 Lobby question

what needs to be explained here then is the difference between a modded lobby and a modded player.

A modded player takes advantage of .GPD mods that were available for a short time in Blackops, GPD mods include Aimbot, Speed and other abilities.

Modded lobbies are only available via Jtag and these are banned after an hour but can be unbanned for a cost. Modded lobbies that appear in public are instantly banned.

Unfortunately there has not been a patch that will stop GPD modding or other player mods.

To answer the OP's question, What you have heard is nothing more than private match talk. However there is indeed the possibility of player mods in public matches.

To make things as simple as possible.

- Cod 4 has modded lobbies in public and private matches.
- MW2 has modded lobbies only available in Private matches but GPD mods can be used online in public matches (both sets can be spotted by joining a lobby and being able to see a target through a wall, this is the most common mod used)

- Blackops has intense security and NO modded lobbies or GPD mods. (there was a case of GPD mods in earlier versions)

- MW3 will improve on the security feature of Blackops named 3ARC OR IIIARC.

To the poster above, Nothing will be done about the GPD mods on MW2 because they clearly have moved on to MW3.

MW3 when released will become the next most hacked game. The fact it is going to use vac again on the PC means it will be hacked from day one. Thats the reason i have decided NOT to buy it. Nearly every server you go on in Blops that does not have admin on it will have a hacker or 2 as well.
