hdmi help picture split and rolling

I am having trouble, when I set hdmi settings on my V+ box..the picture splits and rolls all the time but when it is set too composite the picture is stable and doesn't roll.

My TV is a HD ready sharp 26 inch which is in the dinning room..when the V+ Box was installed first installed I was getting a 720 HDMI picture but I fiddled with the settings and now I can only get the composite output which is annoying when trying to watch HD channels on catch up.

Please can anyone offer advice apart from stop fiddling with the settings.

Re: hdmi help picture split and rolling

Despite you setting the V+ to HDMI, I think your TV is still getting its picture through the SCART. If you unplug the SCART lead the problem should go away. You may need to manually select the HDMI input on your TV (or even enable it in the TV menus)

Re: hdmi help picture split and rolling

Thank you for the reply but I have sorted it now.
I reset the TV to factory and V+ now works though the HDMI cable as it should.
I don't why the TV reset made a difference but it is working now so I am pleased.
