Vidisender and router problems

When I turn on my wireless router it interferes with my vidisender picture on TV main box is sending signal too. Get lines across screen. I have a netgear n router and ATI vidisenders. I have changed the channels on the vidisender but it doesn't help. Will changing the channels on the router make a differance can I just try all 13?

When I turn off the wi fi part of router the vidisender works 100% so they are good ones!

Thanks

Re: Vidisender and router problems

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11 - 802.11g channels

http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/Video_Send...z_Interference -Video sender channels
  • Channel A: 2.411 GHz - Wifi CH1
  • Channel B: 2.434 GHz - Wifi 5-6
  • Channel C: 2.453 GHz - Wifi 9
  • Channel D: 2.473 GHz - Wifi 13
These are channel centres - since the Wifi signal bandwith actually covers 2-3 channels either side, the realistic no-overlap spacing is 5 channels, and since the noise spread can be wider, it helps if you can put them at opposite ends.
If the Router is on 6 or 7, try moving the router to 1 and the sender to D, or the Router to 13 (or 11 if some clients only support 1-11 US spec) and the sender to A.

If the N router has the secondary channel enabled, you may have to turn that off, otherwise:
Router 1, 6 sender D
