Another box - cost

Curerently have V+ and BB to lounge (TV) and upstairs (BB) how much do VM charge to come and install more wiring to put another TV point in different downstairs room?

How much will 2nd V+ box cost and how much is it per month? Does it have same channels as main box - eg sky movies and sport for same charge?

Do you think there anyway of negotiating good discount by taking VM phone point in new room? As they write to me every month begging me to have a VM phone line!

At a later date I would want VM BB moved, not for couple of years yet as in office that will be a kids bedroom one day! How much they charge to move a BB point?

Thanks

Re: Another box - cost

The cost of a second V+ is £40 for installation (to install the new wiring), £99 for V+ activation and then another £5.50 per month. For the £5.50 per month you receive all your existing channels (except HD Sky Sports and Movies if you have them). You do get Sky Sports and Movies in SD if you have them on the first box.

Re: Another box - cost

Are the above prices still the same? As my garage conversion is nearly done!

Do they just run another cable from box on my outside wall to new room?

How much is non V+ box per month / install if | go for that as 2nd box?

Also is it possible I could move current V+ to new room and have TIVO in main room? What would costs of this TIVO option be if went for?

Thanks

Re: Another box - cost

As long as your TV package is XL, if not the prices are the same except the monthly fee which is £10.50 and its the same monthly for a Vhd or a V+.

TiVo is not available just yet but when it is the prices for existing customers on XL tv are:

£149 for activation, £40 install fee and £3 monthly and XL tv package.

Hope this helps and one of the VM office dwellers can confirm this

No boxes come with hd free, it's a £49 fee unless you go to a VIP package

Re: Another box - cost

Thought I would add my 2 pence worth.

I am on XL TV (HD V+), XL phone and L BB and I added a new STB in the bedroom and they waived the installation charges as I was out of contract and virgin did not make me sign up to new contract either. So I only have to pay £5.50 extra a month (pre April prices)

I asked for free HD activation but I think I was asking a bit much. Also spoke to the retention team and not CS.
