Manual for the new superhub?
Hello, was just looking around to see if anyone knew where there was a manual for the new superhub thingy?
I might be getting one and it would be useful to know what features it has etc
Cheers

Re: Manual for the new superhub??
The router features are very basic. When used in conjunction with the Help pages contained within the Web Interface a "manual" is really not required.
If you do run into a feature you don't understand I'm sure you can get help via Google or just ask here.

Re: Manual for the new superhub??
2 SSID's? You'll be lucky to run 2 simultaneous connections off it without the wireless dropping out.
If you have a choice, give it a wide berth.
A firmware update to address it's many problems has been mentioned but somehow I doubt it will help much. The ability to turn it back into a stand alone modem (gateway mode) is promised by the new firmware.
Seems to me the whole exercise is turning into a pointless nightmare for both VM and their subscribers.
Probably caused by trying to do things "on the cheap" again, I would suspect.

Dont confused the Hub with the SuperHub. I've been running a SuperHub for the last few weeks and have had zero problems with it. In fact for me the Wireless is more stable than the D-Link

Re: Manual for the new superhub?
The Super Hub seems to be akin to the Netgear CG3100, most likely with some VM firmware changes.
If my upload has worked, then the CG3100 manual is attached.

Re: Manual for the new superhub?
The superhub is not the same one as the XL BBI PACKAGE one, people are still getting confused by this.
Very good, stable bit of kit had absolutely no issues with the "superhub".

No it's not! Again your referring to the Hub and not the new "Super hub".

The man in the know advises:
"You should be fine! He should note however that this is just for the main SSID ... i.e. if he set’s up guest SSID’s (he can have up to three) he shouldn’t connect them to these. In other words, connect all your X-Boxes to the main SSID and you’re away!"

Re: Manual for the new superhub?
OOO all sounds positive. Basically I have most things set to WPA2 at home but I occasionally need to use an old wifi phone that only supports wep.
So having 2 SSID's allows me to switch the insecure network on and off at will.
It should be waiting for me when I get home, ill report back if the super hub really is super!

Re: Manual for the new superhub?
cheers for the offer jetset, got it all in and working now, as you say its simple enough and yep 2 SSID's work great on it. so dont need that manual.
Not wanting to tempt fate, but it seems like a nice bit of kit!

Re: Manual for the new superhub?
Yeah, the talk about the SuperHub has generally been good, only the standard non-super Hub getting lots of bad rep. I may be getting one of the former tomorrow, fingers crossed I don't though, I like having my own router.
