Man caught on CCTV abandoning lame dog

Quote:
The moment a man drove off leaving his dog limping after him has been captured on CCTV. In the video, a man appears to get out of his car to take his dog for a walk, but he then turns on his heel and strides back to his car, leaving the Shetland cross terrier behind.
The incident on Thursday afternoon was witnessed by staff in office blocks overlooking the Granby Industrial Estate car park in Weymouth, Dorset.
The man left in what appeared to be a metallic blue Mazda or Kia Rio car and CCTV is being analysed to try to identify the registration number.

Re: Man caught on CCTV abandoning lame dog

I saw this on the TV to-day and couldn't believe my eyes. How anyone could treat a dog in such a way then abandon it in such a cruel ways beggars belief. I hope Ginger gets a new home with loving owners in the near future.

I wonder if any child of theirs ever got ill, or became an inconvenience, would be it be abandoned in the same callous way?

Im shocked watching that clip. What a cruel act and how many more are doing it but not getting caught on video. I cant for the life of me understand people who can be so cruel. What a beautiful dog and her eyes were so trusting and so sad looking at her trying to run after the car. I hope they are caught

indeed... all they needed to do was take it to a animal shelter to be re-homed.

Cowards the lot of them.

Hopefully she will get a good home this time and be well looked after like she deserves.

It's not always as simple as that. I am in no way defending what this hearless git did though.

When i split with my ex, I had two cats to take care of. None of the places I could afford to move in to would take pets, so i email plenty of places explaining my circumstances etc and did i get any replies?

No.

The other thing in this case could be that vets fees are extortionate these days since pet insurance has come along, maybe? Who knows, maybe he did not have any and could not afford the potential bill?

We all know that it is far easier to palm the problem off on to someone else.

Just my 2p and by the way, my cats, well the one surviving one is happy and well with my parents the one that did not is in just a happy place I hope

I was furious and saddened to see this. I can think of one thing to call him but I cannot use that on here.
