New Microsoft Security Essentials Beta

The new Beta of MSE is out through Connect, there are a couple of changes, it asks about windows firewall know and apparently uses a redesigned engine and signature format.
Still seems to have it`s moments but all in all very good for the home computer as it`s free and doesn`t hassle you much (unless needed).

If you do try and download it the only way seems to be with Internet Explorer via the file download manager (which installs an add-on). I tried with Firefox, Chrome and IE just to get the regular download and the dlm with Firefox but it was a no go, seemed to allways get stuck at 4MB

Microsoft can`t even sort a download out properly

Re: New Microsoft Security Essentials Beta

Well spotted Mattty, will give this a try myself tonight. Have been using MSE since Windows 7 launched and have been really impressed with it. probably even better than Eset NOD 32 and that says a lot!
