Need some help. I am a BT customer at present with a ****@btinternet.com email address. I am in the slow process of moving my broadband to VM - I can keep my old email address at 1.50 pm and access it via yahoo if i want.
What is the process for email with VM ref addresses, access etc

As long as BT keeps open the address then you should be able to recieve via that address no problems.. You might though have problems with BT's SMTP server as most ISP's do not allow relaying for a connection not their own, but you should be able to use the VM SMTP server fine from your VM connection to relay the BT outgoing emails.
Be aware though that if you use the VM server to send a third party e-mail through it will do one of two things:
If you send it without verifying your third party address it seems to overwrite the reply address with the VM address - because that's where it's actually coming from.
If you've verified your BT address in the Webmail it will append your Virginmedia e-mail address to the e-mail as the 'sender' if you - because it is. So some e-mail programs it would show up as 'johnsmith @ virginmedia.com on behalf of johnsmith @ btinternet.com'
