you need to uncheck the "enable auto scan box "to allow you manually select the channel in the drop down box

Just incase you dont know, if you are setting your own channel, it might be worth using something like this http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider to make sure you dont clash with any neighbours on the same channel

no unfortunately it wont and if im reading you right, the usb adaptor wont work by putting it in the usb port on the ps3. Is wired not a workable option for you?

Click advanced, advanced wireless, wireless mode drop down menu and select mixed n/g/b

You could have a read here http://playstation-3.groups.vox.com/...f0719860c.html

Thanks for that tried wired & cable kept poping out of PS3,may be if i could buy a decent ethernet cable might work better, can you recommend one. just checked on advanced wireless, wireless mode drop down menu and select mixed n/g/b & it was already on it, so should try with a new ethernet cable,

Re: D-Link DIR-615

if its the cable thats faulty, you can pick them up anywhere, this site seems cheap enough, add £2.82 postage http://www.cabling4less.co.uk/index.php?pageLayoutId=2 but theres loads out there. If you cant be bothered ordering online then bob down to comet, currys pc world etc You're much better going wired than wireless on the ps3

Re: D-Link DIR-615

Incidentally most wireless connections will only use up to channel 11 as in the USA that is all it goes up to so a lot of equipment will not go beyond it. Therefore if your wireless connection is causing problems try 12 or 13 which you will probably find are better. This doesn't always work. In Japan they have a channel 14.
