Programme Cast members not included
When I use the "i" information button for a particular film, for example, there is the usual short description of what the film is about but why does VM not include the names of the relevant actors as well ? - Is there some contractual reason for not including this information ?

Re: Programme Cast members not included
VM can only publish what the channel give them (as I understand it).

Re: Programme Cast members not included
They used to years ago, I think I read somewhere that the V boxes do and the V+ don't. Hopefully when we have been Tivoed we will get comprehensive listings.

If they don't, there's always the Internet Movies Database.

Re: Programme Cast members not included
You could use websites eg Radio Times, Internet Movie Database(it does TV as well), TV.com, the TV channel websites, the production company websites(eg HBO, FX) and so on. Be careful as they might reveal future plots.

Re: Programme Cast members not included
But the last thing you want to do is get up of the couch and go over the PC and look fo cast and crew when watch TV. Although i do have to do this when I bugs me when I see an actor that I know I have seen in another movie or show but can't quite remember which one, the at least I can check IMDB on my phone.

Re: Programme Cast members not included
My V+ box shows the casting. I have read the casting in the movie channels many times before. But as already said, Virgin do not control the "i" content. The casting is also shown at the beginning of the film and at the end in the credits.

Re: Programme Cast members not included
these channels are fed directly from sky circuits via fibre/satelite, VM obtain the EPG information on these channels and quite alot of channels from the original broadcaster.

Re: Programme Cast members not included
It's quite correct - V boxes did indeed include casting details and V+ boxes didn't - but my V+ box (In Leeds) started including this about 2 months ago or thereabouts - wonder if this might be something to do with the new viewing cards?

Re: Programme Cast members not included
The most annoying one is MTV and Viva, having looked at the synopsis of South Park or Two and a Half men all you get is a description of the show, not the episode like you do on Comedy central.
