Problem setting up my v+ for hd

i have a problem setting up my hd on my v+ box, tried various sttings and now have a blank screen with nothing on it, is it because i have the scart and hdmi cable inserted the same time ? anyone give me an idea where i have gone wrong ? please !!! cant watch the tv unless i put scart in bottom hole . tv cant find the station but could before i started to put hd on it, no menus or anything can be seen

The fact that you can see TV from the bottom SCART suggests that you have successfully changed the settings on the V+ to output via HDMI.

Are you sure that you have changed the source on your TV to point to HDMI?

hi,my hd channel on the tv cant find a input signal, got no hair left at moment think ive pulled it all out .. tried most things now .. anything you can suggest ?

My suggestion is that you remove the scart altogether ...connect the v+ box to tv HDMI cable only go to tv settings showing inputs on the tv and select HDMI, 1 or 2 depending on how many you have and you should get a picture,if you don't then you have a faulty lead perhaps,have you tried a different one?.... if still no joy its possible that the box output to HDMI is faulty ...did the engineer not try the output and show it to you working on HD ? although its possible its unlikely the tv is to blame .....

ok if you have an old v+ box scientific atlanter if you change to hd (wich your engineer should have done when put in ) you have to press text to comfirm the change so put it over press ok and if you see a pic then on hd press text if for some reason you never saw on and pressed text and cant see anything and cant get back on scart here is wat to do to reset to scart

hold down your play/pause button and record on the box (not the remote) pres the reset button and keep the buttons pressed untill boot goes away on screen then on the box screen you will see a menue saying hd(something or other) pres i think the FF button on the box (or the forward arrow if FF dont Work) till you get to the one that says SD (something or other on it (not to sure wich button saves on this so press the play/pause button and the ok button over and over till the box resets and that will have you back on scart) this will let you have another go and dont go streaght for 1080 even if your tv is on the new samsung it works great on scientific atlanta box the 1080 brings menues up with saddows.
