Cost to upgrade to XXL BB issue

Hi Guys

Was wondering if anyone could help with an issue I just had with upgrading my broadband. Below is my bill, with that in mind the guy I just spoke to on the phone said in order for me to upgrade to xxl bb I need to upgrade to xl phone aswell which in total would cost me an extra £23 a month. Which would leave my total bill at around £75 a month

I told him that it doesnt say nothing about that on there website, I also told him that it says it should cost a total of £60 according to there bundle calc, but he wasnt having none of it.

Am I in the wrong??

Line Rental £11.00
Loyalty Bb/Phone/TV Discount £-17.25
Additional Loyalty Discount £-1.75
Talk Weekends £0.00
TV Sixe XL £23.00
Broadband Size XL £37.00
Paper Bill Charge £1.25

Total £53.25

Any help would be gratefull

Tony

Re: 50Mb Upgrade Charges are a SCAM

The has only ever been manned installs for 50Mb and the has never been a 50Mb Quickstart option this is the same as the V+ box which has to be a manned install.

The following extract is taken from HERE in the Legal Stuff section in the lower part of the page

General: Installation charges apply (starting from £35 for standard installation and, subject to availability, from £15 for Quickstart self-install. Quickstart self-install is not available for up to 50Mb broadband). An additional £20 activation fee is payable for 50Mb Broadband. Payment may be required in advance. All prices include VAT. These terms and conditions are in addition to and form part of our standard customer service contract.

Re: Cost to upgrade to XXL BB issue

After finally getting the price with VM, I then proceeded to book in an engineer, which was going to be for the 14th Dec.

Went to finish off the order and BOOM, error on there computer screen then the guy says "You can recieve 50Mb in your household". Even though it says I could on the website.

Big waste of time this was.
