Declaration????
Whilst browsing on E Bay for LED bulbs, I came across this statement:
To Verified Rights Owners
We strictly control the authenticity of our products, if there is any product violating your Intellectual Property please inform us and we will remove related listings right away. We have specialist on investigating the details and replying your email within 24 hours (Monday-Saturday), please contact us.
Can anyone tell me just what this means? Its just nonsense to me.

Re: Declaration????
Its saying if you think they are selling products that you have copyright on then let them know and they will stop.
Presumably its for other things they sell but just include it as default on every listng.

It's to assist rights holders to identify counterfeit / unlicensed goods offered for sale.

Re: Declaration????
Thanks guys, I thought it may be something to do with rights etc, but this phrase just doesn't make any sense to me?
"violating your Intellectual Property"

Anything you create - be it movie, song, electronic device, etc - is intellectual property. If you sell something I have created and not given you permission to sell then you are violating my intellectual property rights.

Re: Declaration????

Re: Declaration????
The term Intellectual Property rights wasn't born out of Political Correctness, it was born out of Copyright and Trademark law.
