changed mobo cmos battery, apart from time/date anything else I need to do?
Hi,
My pc was losing time when unplugged each night so I replaced the cmos battery. I forgot to take photos/make a note of the bios settings before I did that, but am I right in thinking most modern mobos should detect everything ok? It has started up ok, it appears to be running ok, so I think that’s it?
I don’t overclock anything
Mobo: Asus A8n-VM
Processor: AMD Athlonâ„¢ 64 X2 Dual-Core 3800+ with HT Tech.
Memory: 2* 512mb PC3200
2* 1gb PC3200
Cheers
Al

Unless you normally set a specific boot order, or apply any boot security, then I'd just leave it all alone if it's working ok at the moment.

If it lost time whenever you turned it off then it will have lost all the other settings too in all likelihood. It should work from default anyway, besides what Rob mentioned about boot orders.
