Connecting two boxes - please help

hi there,

im new to the site and not a great techy but would really appreciae any help, ive got virgin cable and have one box workin fine. however they have left an old connection in another room and if i connect my box to that it als works. my question is can i buy another box of any sort (have seen various on ebay etc) and connect it to the old ond one and have the two running or will i need to buy another box off virgin?

The boxes on eBay are illegal (they don't belong to the seller, so aren't theirs to sell). It's £9.50/month for an extra V box.

The last i heard was virign where selling boxes to customer and allowing them to sell them on but i think that the newer boxes certainly not what oyu will see on ebay

Nope, if you don't return your box, they will charge you £250, but you will never make this for a box on eBay and so you have yourself an expensive doorstep.
