New Monitor Time

the time has come to look at a new monitor as my current crt is beginning to play up.

looking for ideally (if there is such a thing)

22" screen as my gfx is only an 8800gts/320.
DVI preferably or Dsub or both , would like to do away with the converter on the back of my card.
£150 max maybe could sqeeze a little more - lower if you can find it.
and must not have a hint of silver on it - call me picky but printer/ext drive and k/b are all black, even the cable modem is black

so what can you guys come up with for price & performance, and i'm gonna look at getting it over the weekend.

just had a look and found this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/22-Ii...x10502ms-DVI-D, any good? from past use they were solid monitors.

completely off track, but if anybody is after some retro looking ram have a look at these nice little numbers http://www.crucial.com/uk/promo/Dual...?cpe=UK_Banner , and at those prices i might be having a punt.

Call me picky but the link to the monitor you posted has a big silver bar all the way across the bottom

nice, but i fear that the rainbow sides would interfere with my feng shui of blackness , also i'd advise not to use that after a few beers or the room will be spinning with multi-colourness - and that's before you have to stick your head down the bog

Re: New Monitor Time

well in the end i added a couple of pound extra and got the 2209HDS, and thus far am impressed with it. still getting used to it as having to concentrate on a wider screen and not a square crt. and actually looking from side to side is starting to hurt
