Exclamation Packet Loss > North London

Hiya. Recentley (past few days) I have been experiencing ups and downs in my 10MB service. It's always been flawless. Pings, Speeds, Uptime have been bang on perfect. However as I've said this week it has been terrible. When I do a speedtest I do get 10MB, but sometimes I get less than 3MB. I have not been capped/STM'ed as I download within the hours allocated..and upload is still same speed etc. And no one is downloading / using the net when this is happening.

During games I am lagging due to packetloss (in game stats show packetloss).

Here is a ping to www.bbc.co.uk

C:\Users\XXX> ping www.bbc.co.uk

I will do it again but to google uk

& again .. now its fine..but it doesn't last long

As you can now see everything is ok. But sometimes this happens and then packetloss occurs.

I just wanted to see if you guys can see anything out of the ordinary. I've done all Ican on my side. Restarted both cable modem / router. Checked optimum wireless settings etc. Hopefully its just a "passing storm" and everything will return to normal.

Hey. Thanks for replying. My packetloss is 2-3% in game. Today it's been fine. I played on UK servers and a few Euro servers and pings are back to normal with no packetloss.
Browsing is fine now..but when having this issue its slow as speed dropped from my always constant 10MB to 3MB or less.
As you can see now..the problem is back. Speed is down..ping is high.

& again

wow. it has never ever been this low. Lowest has been like 5MB.

================================================== ================================================== ==========
Test 1: 1024K took 4341 ms = 235.9 KB/sec, approx 1944 Kbps, 1.9 Mbps
Test 2: 1024K took 9001 ms = 113.8 KB/sec, approx 938 Kbps, 0.92 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 6356 ms = 161.1 KB/sec, approx 1327 Kbps, 1.3 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 15360 ms = 133.3 KB/sec, approx 1098 Kbps, 1.07 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 1327 Kbps, 1.3 Mbps
================================================== ================================================== ==========

I play COD4 and AA, TDU, FSX, BF, GTA etc.

I just wanted an experianced member of the forum to check over my Modem stats, but I guess no one wants to reply

Hmmm.

Thanks.

Re: Packet Loss > North London

Your modem stats are fine and please ignore the logs.

Have you tried a direct connection to the modem without the router to see if you are still having the same speed issues.
