Cutting off incoming calls
Hi
I have 2 Phillips Xalio 200 handsets. I don't receive many calls on my home number but when I do the incoming call is always cut-off going straight to answer phone.
I've tried asking the Indians on three or four occasions but there is a serious breakdown in communication.
Maybe it's my Brummie accent?
Is it a simple setting problem or are these phones incompatible with the Virgin network?

Re: Cutting off incoming calls
Do you mean a local answer phone built in to the phone, or voice mail? If it is a local answer phone, the problem is likely to be a setting on your phone.

Re: Cutting off incoming calls
On my last set of phones I could set it for 1, 3 or 6 rings before going to answerphone.

On most incoming calls I press the answer button on the phone and instead of answering the call it cuts off the incoming call and sends them direct to leaving a message.
The other calls are answered in the normal fashion.

Re: Cutting off incoming calls
I think what Stuart meant is, are you talking about an answer machine that is part of your phone or is it the voice-mail that VM provide?

Best to call in and see if faults can help on 151 or 0845 454 1111.

My phones are Philips and are compatible and I have no problems with a Brummie accent, but I do Broadband faults not Phone faults but the should not be a problem calling Phone Tech Support.
