do you think i could do this?

hi

i am due to move into my new house on monday the 4th august but get keys the thursday before, its a bt only estate as its new houses, so wat iw as thinking of doing is ringing bt to have the fone line activated for the thursday wen i get my keys can i do this? the reason i want it doing so quik is cos i cant be done without my internet lol so once i ahve a bt line activated i can then get onto a bethere or 02 to get bb sorted out, so jjst wanted to know if i can do it even tho i wont be moved in wen i wnat the phone activated all the lines and everything are there juts needs turning on, thnx for any replies, joxxx

If you are actually taking possession of the property on the 1st, then I can't see there's anything to stop you trying to get BT to visit before you move in. But I think BT will expect you to remain in the house while they're there.

Probably worth calling whichever ISP you choose in advance to check how long they'll take to get the broadband element of your new phone line switched to LLU.

oh yes i sign the tenancy agreement the 31st but dont move in till the monday but have keys the wednesday b4, ah yer so wat i do ring bethere or whoever and ask how long it will take once i have bt line activated, and yes i would stay at property while bt were there , thnx for reply. jox

Its normally 5 days from line activation to being able to order ADSL on it, obviously this will depend on BT though
