V+ interference when using RF output to get analogue channels

Hi this is my first time - please help

I have just got a new V+ box - I split the incoming signal to STB using a 3db splitter and fed oneto the cable inlet and the other to the arial in. I want to use the RF output feed to send the digital and analogue channels to other tvs in the house. If I just plug in the cable inlet the digital signal works fine on the remote TV's, but if I plug in the arial inlet as well the terrestial channels work fine but the digital channel signal is very snowy. tried changing the RF number from 52 to 47 but no difference

any ideas how I can improve the situation to get good digital and analgue at the same sime?

Re: V+ interference when using RF output to get analogue channels

You can't.

The V+ is not designed to work in the way you describe.

All the splitter is doing is feeding both analogue and digital signals into whatever input you plug it in. Feeding DVB-C signals into the aerial in on the V+ is why you are getting the problems with the digital signal.

Virgin used to do an analogue bypass which would strip out the digital signal before it was fed into the aerial in. This was stopped in January 2007. This was because from this year, Virgin will be switching off the analogue signal in those areas that can get Digital.

So even if you had the bypass, when it is switched to digital only, there will be no analogue channels on the cable, and the only equipment that can pick up anything is a Virgin STB

This has already happened in Coventry.

The only way to do what you want to do is to use an outside aerial. Obviously, you would then either need Freeview boxes come Digital Terrestrial Switch off in your area or additional cable STBs
