Dual Monitor Connections thru DVI & HDMI - Possible?

Hey folks,

I've just ordered a generic Nvidia 8800GT from Aria and received a Palit card. This in itself isn't a bad thing but rather than dual DVI outputs it sports a DVI and an HDMI.

Has anyone got experience of running CRTs with VGA inputs via a DVI and an HDMI configured card (with the correct adapters of course)

Thanks in advance!

Since HDMI is basically DVI plus sound, I can't see why you should have a problem running a dual monitor setup.

Tough question indeed, that's why I'm asking here!

I'm asking round as I've got an RMA to return it for a dual DVI version or I could just get a £15 adapter off Maplin (or £5 off ebay!) and keep the card.... decisions decisions!

UPDATE

Well, it appears that all the HDMI to DVI converters I find are all for DVI-D which is no good for my analogue CRTs so the answer (for me at least) is NO, and that's why it's gone back to be replaced witha dual DVI card.

Cheers!

HDMI carries no Analogue singnals, the DVI will probably be DVI-I so you'd only get one working
