20 meg bb?

Hello again

I've just read on another forum that vm are offering 20 meg for 20 pounds a month?
Is this true?
As I'm currently paying £18 for 2 meg bb
I definatly want a bit of 20 meg bb if it is £20 for the full contract?
And if It's true I have a ntl 250 modem will i need a new modem as I've heard lot's of complaints about certain modems?

Thanks

Plus is it £20 without the phone and other options?
As i want just the bb package.

Re: 20 meg bb?

its £20 when taken with a phone line for an extra £11.

the ntl 250 is capable of 20mb. its exactly the same as the newer 255 apart from the newer one doesnt have a usb port.

But if the 20Mb BB goes down to £20 the phone line will go up to £11.

I don;t think that VM retentions will drop the combined price any lower than £31

Tried this yesterday and the lowest they would give me was 39 combined. (28 + 11) and yet they will give new customers 31...

Not good customer service IMHO and I have been with them since early 90's

Re: 20 meg bb?

my cousins just signed up to VM and are paying £4.50 a month for 2mb VM but there was ntl phone line before VM was orderd it wasent orderd with vm phone line, so if u already have a ntl/blueyonder line before hand then these ofers still apply to you from what i understood.

so if i upgrade the BB to 20 megabit, it will be £20 a month seing as they pay £4.50 for the 2meg?

Re: 20 meg bb?

i reckon that 20 quid for 20meg bb is ontop of 11.00 line rental, obviously bringing it to 31.00 a month. This is really for new customers only, however...

You can get the ultimate double 2 deal, as long as you pay no more than £37.00 per month for basic service charges* That Deal is Phone Line rental with Talk unlimited + Broadband XL. NB Doubt you will be able to have TV Size M with this.

*Basic service charges are the amount your charged in advance every month. So as an example your paying 11.00 for Line rental 18.00 for Broadband and thats it. Your paying £29.00 So you could upgrade to Ultimate Double 2.

Also - you can only get this through Customer Care and only available to existing customers upgrading their service.
