Exclamation ntlworld.com #5.5.0 smtp;550

Just been upgraded to BB XL, and am now getting the above SMTP errors coming back at me. Al was fine earlier this evening, but have just rebooted my modem to get the new config file, which is 10meg, not 20 and now getting the SMTP errors. Any particular reason why ??

Full error is: ntlworld.com #5.5.0 smtp;550 you are not allowed to send mail to

I am relaying my mail from my SBS 2003 Exchange server into smtp.ntlworld.com

Has the server name / address changed at all, and why would it only stop after the upgrade ????

Cant get into webmail, is this all linked to their national email outage ???

Please help i cant have my house down for outgoing email.

Just noticed that since 19:45 when i rebooted the modem, my SBS pop connector has not managed to connect to get my mail, WTF is going on now.

Also i cannot log into my account on the vigin media website, tells me invalid username or password

Now getting very very ****ed off

Re: ntlworld.com #5.5.0 smtp;550

Ticket 593738 (from the status page for national loss of email) was only affecting Knowsley regions (ex-Telewest).

This was related to pop3 downloading of mail and has now been resolved; this would not have affected access to the ex-NTL ntlworld platform.

Webmail via http://webmail.ntlworld.com/ is working fine (I have just tested it). This may however be an issue with your account.

You could check to see if outgoing mail is ok, this will confirm connectivity to the server as there is no authentication required. You will possibly need to speak to CS in the morning to perform a password reset if you can send but not rcv.

Good luck.
