Pc3200 Ram

Since I was using 1GB of Kingston RAM until recently when 1 of my 512 sticks threw a paddy, I have been looking to upgrade to 2GB. RAM is not one of the things I know a lot about, so not really sure what to get, only have a budget of around £100 for this. Have been looking at some Kingston HyperX RAM which has some good reviews, although like I said I know not much about this.

Anybody have some good advice on what I can get for £100?

Re: Pc3200 Ram

I bought 2 GB (2x 1GB DDR PC3200) from Crucial a few months ago, for around £80ish I think.

Very good.

Many here swear by Crucial

Re: Pc3200 Ram

I swear by OCZ to be honest, you get excellent quality RAM, thats overclockable and it comes with lifetime warranty.

Sorry, I should have been more helpful:

This is the cheese, and should be around £80 with delivery:

I would think about what operating system you use and what you intend to use your pc for. If you running xp and dont game seriously with an expensive gfx card (and seeing as you have a ddr I motherboard as you have made no mention of DDRII capability your unlikely to have a top end gfx) I would just throw another 512 meg stick of ram at it and save the rest of the case towards either a future upgrade or buy the misses a bigger prezzie for christmas

I have DDR I ram and an 8800GTX hhehehe

I have clocked my ram to 550MHz (2 X 275) before, it still worked well on 3-3-3-7. That was with my old 3200 though. Can't do it no more with my 4200X2, no dividers on my mobo.
