Re: Building a new comp

Yeah poor choice of GFX if you intend to game buy a 8800GTS if your not that keen but wanna play a few then an X1950pro would suit better imo

Any reason you chose the 6750 over a G0 Q6600?

Re: Building a new comp

TBH I do not really recommend any of the midrange DX10 cards or any of the midrange cards for a gamer. This being the case id put forward the x1950pro with maybe 512 meg of ram onboard like this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=56&subcat=404

Re: Building a new comp

Your graphics card is one of the main components for gaming. I think ATi offer more performance for money atm.

Also i think 600W from what you are getting is overkill. I am running an 8800GTX, 4 sticks of ram and 2 PCI cards on a 550W mate.

Re: Building a new comp

looks good the system, but as all have said the g-card isnt great.

get a 1950pro got that in my system and runs anything I throw at it at max...or wait with the g-card and get 1 of the new lot of cards coming out in November (but I dont think you want to wait that long)

Re: Building a new comp

Once again Thanks the Sapphire is on its way about £20 cheaper than the GeForce 8600GTS and that will pay for the Zalman VF900-CU Quiet Copper VGA Cooler :-)
