CGI and Perl Scripts on Blueyonder personal web pages

I can’t seem to get ANY Perl or CGI scripts to run on my Blueyonder personal web pages – despite the VM blurb saying that scripts are permitted. http://help2.virginmedia.com/help/ge...pwp_tools_perl

Yes I have uploaded the scripts in ASCII not binary.
Yes I have CHMOD the permission to 755
Yes I have the correct Shebang line in the script

When I try and run even a simple ‘hello world’ type of script the page just prints out the entire Perl script without interpreting it.

Can anyone offer any suggestions please?

Thanks

Have you tried looking here? There's a test perl script there that you can try. I guess it's also possible that they're removing CGI, PHP, etc to bring packages in line?

Make sure the interpreter path is correct in the Shebang according to this page http://help2.virginmedia.com/help/ge...systemprograms

Unhappy Re: CGI and Perl Scripts on Blueyonder personal web pages

Thanks for all your advice. It seems the Tier of PWP that I'm on does not support personal scripts - only the VM approved ZISP scripts.

Details and support the VW scripts is here:
